The Chamber of Greater Springfield is presenting a unique opportunity for local, civic-minded individuals who are considering running for local office. This award-winning program will assist participants in determining whether to "throw their hat in the ring" for elected office.
The Chamber is a non-partisan, business association which does not endorse, or support candidates for elected office. However, the Chamber believes strongly in the principles of good government and hopes to increase the number of qualified candidates who are committed to advancing our community.
During the three sessions, participants will meet with current and former elected officials and community advocates to learn about the process of running for local elected office. The program will cover many of the major steps in running for office, and how to become better equipped to serve as a candidate and elected official.
All sessions will be held at the Chamber of Commerce offices:
20 S. Limestone St., Suite 100
Springfield, OH 45502
Cost $100 per participant includes: course, course materials, refreshments and networking.
Please Note: This program is only initiated if a minimum of 10 participants commit to the program. Application deadline is July 5th.
